Service Description

Paragliding is a non-motorized, foot-launched form of free flying with inflatable lightweight wing, that depends 100% of wind and weather conditions. The aircraft has no rigid structure, the fabric canopy consists of many interconnected cells and is inflated by the air entering into them that gives it an aerodynamic shape to fly. Paragliding does not involve jumping off cliffs, mountains or airplanes. Fly with an experienced and qualified Paragliding instructor, that will help you to make your flying dream come true. The paragliding tandem is designed to carry two people with the passenger strapped in a separate harness in front of the instructor pilot. There is no age limit, it all depends on if you fit with the minimum and maximum weight needed to paraglide, for young participants however (under 18 years old) is necessary measure of a parent or a guardian must be present to ensure the child's safety, plus a written parental consent to join the activity. Is important to be sober in a good healthy shape. ITINERARY When? Daily as weather permits Where? We leave every day from Draklanda, Åre to Åreskutan - a south facing mountain at 1400 meters above sea level. What will we do? First we will do basic theoretical instruction, this includes watching a video describing the technical and practical steps to fly. The flight will take between 15 to 20 minutes with dynamic wind in the afternoon, you will fly over 900 meters above land when the conditions are clear for take-off. You will land in the same place as you take-off, also known as top landing. ACTIVITY INCLUDES: -Transport -Flight instructor -Safety talk -Personal protection equipment (helmet, flight suit, harness) -Video or other footage NOT INCLUDED: -Expenses not specified in the program -Tip WHAT TO BRING: -Warm clothing -Sunglasses -Sunscreen -Appropriate shoes -Water, Snacks -Micro SD-card (for own Go-Pro at your discretion) NOTE: Remember that the meteorological conditions are very important to be able to take off and fly in paragliding, in case of unsuitable conditions the activity must be canceled until the conditions are considered suitable for take off and flying. In case of cancellation due to meteorological conditions a fee of 20% of the total price is charged to cover transportation, pilot fee etc.
